Area 53 - Photo 50 - The Fox 'what an amazing' Theatre

This past week I had the privledge of taking a few photos in the main lobby of the Fox Theatre in Detroit. I wasn't able to take any pictures inside the theatre itself like I hoped, but I hope to get the chance to do so in the new year. Special thanks to Kevin Lao for both opportunities. My pic of the week is the nutcracker on the Loge Level where the Christmas tree also is displayed for the holidays. I think it has a very festive kind of candy cane feel to it. The rest are a collection of other displays and fixed features in the lobby, including the wreath on the main pipes, the staircase monsters, angels, the Fox usher, and a few panaramics from a few different angles. There's even a shot of the old train station in Detroit that I took on my way to the Ambassador Bridge. I love how the sky is two different colours of blue. Totally bizarre. I hope you like them, and I hope to bring you a part two of the historic Fox Theatre in 2011, since Cale and I have decided to continue our blog throughout a second year. Whoohoo! Cu next Monday. t

Area 53 - Photo 49 - Goderich Baseball Water Tower

So I took lots of photos for my blog, however, they were all taken out of town in Goderich on the day I need to post so I'm late (as you already know) because I needed time to edit a bit.
I debated about choosing a different pic because this one still needs some correction.
I'll repost the final photo when i'm finished working on it.
It's simply on old baseball field located Hwy 21 near Goderich right on the lake (Huron).
I'm a sucker for that kind of baseball nostalgia so I pulled over, I love the water tower in left-centerfield.
The rest are a smattering of the road trip, including panaramics facing both directions of the Maitland River taken from the walking bridge above, a flock of gulls in Bayfield, the lighthouse in Grand Bend at sunset, a dead end sign (to warn you in case you don't see the lake over the cliff directly ahead), and a funky wall of trees tucked behind a fence of steel.
I hope these photos make up for my tardiness.
See you next Monday.

Area 53 - Photo 48 - A Smile and a Yawn

Excessively busy with work and extra cirricular activites led me to forget numerous times to post this photo of the week.
Originally it was supposed to be something completely different, however, my opportunity was postponed for a couple weeks, and I hope to be able to do it soon.
I did take some Christmas family photos for my buddy and this was one of my favs, I just think it's hilarious. It pretty much speaks for itself.
My apologies for the delay, now I've got to post my photos for this current week.
See you next Monday...on time I hope.
